Today sees the latest video publication for the Intranet Innovations Awards, this time from pharma company Janssen-Cilag and their Oracle ordering system called Juice.
Essentially, Juice gives employees an Amazon-style ordering system for IT supply purchases such as a new laptop battery or mobile. As said in the video, this reduced a lot of frustration people were suffering when it came to the ordering process.
I have alot of admiration for Nathan's work. It's pragmatic in objective but innovative in solution, and rarely will you find someone with such an extensive technical background focusing so well on the people aspect of this topic. By his own account he also works with a great team.
The Janssen-Cilag intranet, based on Confluence wiki software, is another great example and lays claim to the highest level of direct partcipation I've ever seen within a business, with 75% of employees contributing to it in some way.
Check the video below, and also check out Janssen-Cilag's enterprise 2.0 Twitter tool - Jitter - which is featured in the free-to-download executive summary. The full report (US$189) and exec summary are available here.
