I recently contributed to Melcrum's new edition of Transforming Your Intranet with a chapter on Technology and Enterprise 2.0.
In the most modest of tones and having worked extensively on the original edition and then contributed to the new version, I can safely say, hand on heart, that the report is a fantastic piece of work.
But seriously, with other chapters and contributions written by Martin White, Toby Ward, Dave Wallace, Euan Semple, Lee Hopkins and more, plus case studies from BSI Group, BSkyB, IKEA, Sabre and Sun Microsystems and a whole lot of others, and a bucket load of stats from the associated survey (with over 1200 responses), there's a massive amount to glean from it.
In the name of good marketing, Melcrum have now published a free, 16-page extract of the new edition, with sections by Abigail Lewis-Bowen and myself, and case studies from IBM and the NSW DPI (the latter contributed by Kate Needham).
You can find a great introduction to the report on Iowa's IABC (International Association of Business Communicators) site, and you can download the extract. The full report is available on Melcrum's store.
