Noticed a few more posts and tweets about Posterous this week (@deswalsh, @trevoryoung). It's always a strange phenomenon when you discover something, then see it everywhere (like when you've decided to buy a certain car, and then you see hundreds of the same model on the road, for example).
Today, Posterous impressed with this post. I just sent the MySpace video URL via email, and it automatically embeds it and forms a post.
As well as a mid- or long-form Twitter (as much an oxymoron that seems), Posterous, which is itself similar to Tumblr, is a long-form del.ici.ous, Google Reader and more. Share anything to your blog, with a simple, easy to use email message.
It reminds me a lot of the story in the Corporate Blogging Book by Debbie Weil, who described GM's Bob Lutz' first experience when he wanted to blog. He wrote a message out, took it to his Comms team and said, 'What can I do with this?' GMBlogs was born.
Now, several years later, Lutz could simply email direct from his Blackberry and have a great looking blog without really even trying. It makes Typepad (which this blog runs on), seem.... complex.
