The Worldwide Intranet Challenge (WIC) - a web-based intranet benchmarking service - has been growing steadily in recent years. It now boasts over 11,000 participants - employees who have rated their own corporate intranets.
This is a remarkable survey size, and now you can learn more about the organisation ranked #1:
Late in 2010, Weston Solutions participated in the Worldwide Intranet Challenge. Feedback from the end users about their intranet was fairly average, with an overall ranking of 47 out of 101 surveys.
In the following 12 months, Bob Hackett, VP of Information Services, led an intranet transformation project that revitalised the intranet. Late last year, Weston Solutions again participated in the WIC, with the intranet end users responding to exactly the same questions they were asked the previous year.
The results were nothing short of spectacular.
Weston Solutions not only claimed the #1 overall ranking (from over 100 participating organisations) but topped most of the individual questions as well.
Bob Hackett will be joining Andrew Wright of CIBA Solutions to tell more about their story. Places are limited, but you can sign up via GoToMeeting.
You can also learn more about the Weston intranet over at Andrew Wright's site.
I first heard of Weston's ambition to be #1 in the WIC via JB Holston, CEO of Newsgator, at the recent Newsgator roadshow in Sydney. As part of the bigger picture It will be interesting to learn more about how the company is using enterprise social network tools across what is a very dispersed workforce (1800 employees in 60 countries).
